Blood D.E.S.E.R.T

Millions die from preventable deaths each year in the world’s blood deserts: areas with little to no access to lifesaving blood products. Conditions normally treatable with a simple transfusion lead to needless death.

The Blood D.E.S.E.R.T. Coalition(Blood Delivery via Emerging Strategies for Emergency Remote Transfusion Coalition)is a group of doctors, researchers, patient advocates, and policymakers committed to promoting the research, education, and implementation agenda necessary to eliminate the world’s blood deserts.

Objectives

We believe nobody should die from lack of transfusion

Through the implementation of Walking Blood Banks, Auto-transfusion, and Drone based blood delivery, our group aims to address the significant gap in access to blood products in various corners of the world.
